We are accepting applications for our Junior Researchers programme in Climate Centre. Please apply here. However, due to a high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to contact each applicant individually regarding the status of their application. Please be informed that placements are not guaranteed, but are on the basis of a match between current demand from the team and the skills and availability of the student. In the meantime, you may read the following information for your reference.
The Junior Researcher Programme and its Internships
A key role for the Climate Centre within in the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is to foster evidence-based knowledge that informs action on the ground and provides a basis for good decision-making, through close academic collaborations. This includes our own working paper, publications in peer-reviewed scientific literature, as well as an ongoing engagement with young academics in our Junior Researcher Programme. Students have advanced our work in supporting the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and its partners to reduce the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events on vulnerable people.
Who can apply for internships with Climate Centre?
To be eligible for a placement within the organization, students must be enrolled in a University (Masters or PhD level). We do, however, like to have an understanding of the academic deliverables to see if these match with our assignment.
