Internship Vacancy – Human Resources

We are looking for an intern to support our team in the Human Resources department. In this role, you will maintain personnel records in compliance with GDPR requirements and manage leave registration in Exact Online. You will support the HR Advisor with contract administration and contribute to ongoing projects, including Process Mapping and other ad hoc HR initiatives. Additionally, you will act as a backup for the Business Support Officer.

Note: The intern must be enrolled in a university programme for the entire duration of the placement, and have a background in Business/Public Administration and/or Human Resources. The position is for 32 hours a week and for a minimum duration of three months.

Internship Vacancy – Technical Research Intern – OPTICC

We are looking for an intern to support the OPTICC project and contribute to applied climate and conflict work with real humanitarian impact. In this role, you will support applied research and technical work related to climate, conflict, and humanitarian prioritization, including: 

  • Contributing to GIS analysis and the OPTICC interactive platform 
  • Developing contextual resources (e.g. seasonal calendars, risk maps, analytical briefs) 
  • Conducting targeted research on climate–conflict dynamics and data use for humanitarian prioritization 
  • Participating in team discussions and contributing ideas to improve usability and relevance of tools and outputs 

Note: The intern must be enrolled in a university programme for the entire duration of the placement, and have a background in climate science, environmental studies, geography, international relations, conflict studies, humanitarian studies, data science, or a related field.

Internship Vacancy – Communications and Multi-Media Internship – OPTICC

We are looking for an intern to support the OPTICC project and contribute to applied climate and conflict work with real humanitarian impact. In this role, you will support the  Climate and Conflict team in developing engaging communication products that translate technical content into clear, accessible, and compelling formats. 

Key activities include: 

  • Supporting the recording and editing of short videos (e.g. explainers, demonstrations, interviews, learning snippets) related to OPTICC 
  • Assisting with the development of visual communication products, such as short clips, slides, visuals, or storyboards 
  • Helping adapt technical project outputs into clear narratives for internal and external audiences 
  • Supporting dissemination and awareness-raising of OPTICC outputs across internal channels and selected external platforms 
  • Contributing creative ideas on how to improve understanding, visibility, and uptake of OPTICC tools and insights 

Note: The intern must be enrolled in a university programme for the entire duration of the placement, and have a background in communications, media studies, journalism, digital media, international development, or a related field.

Vacancy – Internship – Climate integration in conflict-affected settings

We are looking for an intern to support the OPTICC project and contribute to applied climate and conflict work with real humanitarian impact. In this role, the intern will support the Climate and Conflict team’s engagement with the ICRC while contributing to the development of the Climate Centre’s multi-risk workstream. The role combines institutional support, applied research, and analysis, with regular supervision and opportunities for independent work. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting the revision of the ICRC Climate Framework for Operations, including engagement with staff across departments to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement 
  • Contributing to a reflection report on five years of Climate Centre support to ICRC climate integration 
  • Supporting day-to-day engagement with ICRC delegations and programme teams 
  • Providing targeted support to specific initiatives, depending on interest and expertise (e.g. project climate scan tools, multi-risk climate action, monitoring and evaluation support)

Vacancy- Contracts Officer

We are seeking a fulltime Contracts Officer to supports the Contracts & Compliance Manager, coordinating and managing the administration of funding agreements with other Red Cross Red Crescent organizations, international institutions and/or foundations. This position is an important pivot in our often hectic virtual office (with a small team in the Netherlands as well as colleagues abroad). You would be working in a hybrid setting from home and from the Climate Centre office in The Hague (NL) every Wednesday. A work and residency permit for the Netherlands is required.

Responsibilities will include direct communication to donors regarding the grant approval, reviewing grants, contracts, MOUs and other donor agreements, timely and accurate project administration in the financial system, project monitoring, ect.

Vacancy- National Consultant (Part-Time), Vietnam

We are seeking a local consultant in Vietnam who will be a part of a wider study/research team of the Climate Centre and is expected to support the team to carry out responsibilities within the framework of scope and objectives of the technical support to BRC.

Responsibilities will include Capacity Building of Vietnam Red Cross on Climate and Innovative/Blended Financing, Preparation of KII list and guidance, field checklists and interview questionnaires, Support in drafting the report on diagnostic study and climate resilience framework, ect.

This position is primarily a home-based assignment in Vietnam but requires some in-person coordination with VNRC and other external stakeholders. Preference will be given to consultants based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
