Linking seasonal forecasts with disaster preparedness in the Pacific

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology and the IFRC have developed a new ‘Seasonal Rainfall Watch’ to encourage Red Cross disater managers to use seasonal forecasts for preparedness in the Pacific, to help them prepared for and respond to disaster and manage droughts and prolonged wet spells.
