Impact of climate hazards on at-risk livelihoods in Burkina Faso

This report presents research conducted to understand how certain livelihoods are impacted by climate hazards in Burkina Faso. The evidence collected has been validated by key government stakeholders and community members through focus group discussions and key informant interviews. The objective of the study has been to identify adaptation options for livelihoods most at risk, as well as social protection pathways for those likely to be affected. Impact of climate hazards on at-risk livelihoods in Burkina Faso also identifies some key strategies that can be adopted by social protection and national hydrometeorological agencies in association with the local communities to safeguard assets and reduce hazard impacts.
