The Climate Guide

The Climate Guide
1 November 2007

The Climate Guide details five years experience from staff and volunteers working in more than 30 Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies to address climate impacts.

It begins with the basics: the scientific consensus about climate, humanitarian consequences, and implications for the Red Cross Red Crescent.

This is followed by six thematic modules: Getting started, Dialogues, Communications, Disaster management, Community-based disaster risk reduction and Health.

Each module begins with real-life experiences and perspectives, followed by a how-to section with step-by-step guidance.

The guide is also available in ArabicFrenchRussian and Spanish.
